A Perfect Hot Desi Girl

  

As the year comes to a close, we want to share with you, our partners, photos of some of the 300 village girls you have so generously helped to enroll in primary school in northern Burkina Faso this year.  Though of course we will not have their academic grades until the end of the school year, if last year is any indication, the vast majority of these girls (nearly 90% last year) will pass national qualifying exams to go on to middle school and high school.  And thanks to the generosity of certain of our partners, we were able to support 13 village girls going on to post secondary education this year (in teacher, nursing and midwifery training and in university education) .  

With your continuing support, Association NEEED (the local NGO that runs the project) hopes to respond to requests for the Lambs Support Girls’ Education Project from the remaining 75-80 interested villages in the region over the next 3 years.  NEEED will introduce parents in these remaining villages to the importance of girls’ education and to NEEED’s low cost and sustainable strategy for ensuring an education for village girls.
